Cherise — the past, walking into the present
The first face Ishwaak sees at Lover's Turn when he's come looking for Gargi. Cherise belongs to before — to Rajgarh, to Pinnacle Academy, to the coaching-town years he thought he'd sealed shut. Her reappearance is the moment the old years stop staying old. Proof that you can change your city, your circle, your entire life, and still not outrun who you used to be. She was in Semester 1 but her new avatar in Semester 2 will shock everyone.
Niti — an old name that lands like a cold key in a lock
Someone Ishwaak knew back home, before college. Charming on the surface — parathas, Tupperware, a voice light as birdsong — and surgically sharp underneath. Niti doesn't shout. She simply knows which version of the truth will hurt the most, and hands it over with a smile. She is the book's quietest, coldest engine.
Noor — soft until she chooses not to be
